I usually post in Korean. Obviously, that’s my mother tongue. Plus, the topic I am writing about is quite limited to those who are interested in K-pop, Astro. My fan activity is geographically limited to Korea. So I didn’t mind low visitors since this blog exists mainly for archiving reason and journaling.

To differentiate WordPress from Naver Blog, I also considered writing in English. I even tried writing some posts in both Korean and English. I heard that some foreign fans who visit through Twitter use translation tools to read my posts. However, writing in two languages requires a lot of effort. In the end, I gave up and chose a more comfortable and long-lasting approach to blogging. (Korean only!)

However, today while writing a post about page views, I noticed a sparkling icon in the menu. I wondered if it was a special effect, so I clicked on it and it said ‘ask AI assistant’. And there was also a translation feature in the bottom menu. It was fascinating, so I clicked on it and the automatic translation was quite smooth. I could even change the tone of the translation.

The translation was quite natural. It is even more so compared to Google Translate or Papago.

However, the change in tone felt somewhat awkward. Despite using the “change tone” feature directly in Korean to convert it into English, the phrase within the brackets is hilariously amusing. “쪼랩” being translated as “humble little space in that vast blogsphere” made me burst out laughing. But it’s surprisingly accurate, which caught me off guard. It’s amazing to see how far AI has come.

To be honest, this post is also written using the ‘Ask AI Assistant’ feature. Cool, huh? 😉

포스팅 하기 전에 ‘AI Assitant’라는 기능이 보여서 ‘Generate feedback’을 눌러봤다.

아직까지 포스팅에서 주제를 파악하는 것은 잘 못하는 것 같은 피드백을 주었지만, 이 정도까지 포괄적으로 블로그를 assess할 수 있다는 것이 놀랍다. 네이버는 아무래도 몇 년 후면 망할 것 같다. 꾸준히 이쪽으로 넘어와야지.
